The kiddush cup – an indispensable accessory for Shabbat and the Jewish holidays

The kiddush cup is an important part of Jewish tradition, especially on Shabbat and the holidays. Every Friday night, Saturday morning and on the holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, Pesach), before we begin our meal, we take the time to thank the Lord for giving us this wonderful moment. This ritual is called the Kiddush and is recited with a cup of wine. However, the wine cannot be placed in an ordinary glass. On Shabbat, we are supposed to use elegant objects that we don’t use every day so that they remain special. That is why every Jewish family has one or more kiddush glasses. These glasses can be in shiny silver or in a more modern, sleek style. You can find kiddush glasses in crystal, resin or porcelain. It is up to you to find the style that suits you best.
